It’s so fast and easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. Follow the simple steps below.
Step 1:
Activate Your Free Account
Click on the profile icon at the top right-hand corner of your homescreen
You will be prompted to give “Find My Local” permission to access your precise location. You will be presented with creators that are located closest to your proximity.
Go to the Home Page and follow the steps below:
- Select “Sign Up”
- Create a username, enter your email and create a password.
- Click on “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Policy” so you understand what you are signing up for. NB: We do not share any data with any 3rd parties.

If you agree to the "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy" check the box “I Agree” and click the button to create your account.
Why Create An Account?
When you create an account in Find My Local you will benefit from:
- User Dashboard
- Save Creators
- Leave Reviews
- Monthly Email
- Create a Listing
Once you create an account, add a profile image and update your information.

Step 2:
Search For Creators
There are a few ways to search for creators.
Use the search bar
- Enter the type of creator, product or service you are looking for in the “What” search field on the home page.
- Your location will display in the “Where” field or to search another location enter the name of the town/city you want to search - the search results will display creators closest to your location.
- Click on the image or the title of a listing to be taken to the full listing information.
Use the “Quick Find” categories
- Click any of the 8 “Quick Find” category icons. The table below has examples of creators in each category.
- All creators tagged in this category will display listed in order from the listing closest to your physical location.
- Click on the image or the title of a listing to be taken to the full listing information.
See all listings
- If you are on a smartphone click on the 3 lines on the top left hand side of the home page and select the “All Listings” option.
- If you are on a desktop select the "All Listings" option from the navigation menu. All creators from each category will display on the map and listed in order of closest proximity to you.
Step 3:
Connect With Creators
- Click “Save” in your favourite listings to add it to your dashboard.
- Click “Share” in your favourite listing to support the creator and share their listing on your social media channels.
- Click on any of the creators links in their profile to check out their social media channels, websites or marketplaces.

Directly connect with the creator or their management but clicking on “Contact Listing Owner” and communicate through your dashboard. A prerequisite to having a listing in Find My Local is that you must have good communication, if a creator has not made contact within a reasonable time period please flick us an email so we can help, info@findmylocal.nz.
Navigating Find My Local
- Return to the home page of the website by clicking on the “Find My Local” logo on the top left hand side of any page.
- On your mobile phone or tablet click on the 3 lines on the top left hand side of the page to display a menu of all pages in the website, to create a listing or to sign in/out of your account.
- Social Media Links, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are all located at the bottom of the homepage, Find Creators, Find Work, Join Now & Contact Us pages.
