About

Spend quality time with one of the world’s most exotic animals. Highly intelligent, you have to get to know your llama, and become his friend. Quite a challenge, but once you have bonded with you llama, you work together to complete the trek. A fascinating experience!


TASTER TREK – walk with your own llama on a lead, with a tour guide, around our local river. We meet at the Kaikoura Llama Trekking site, then drive 2km to the start of the trek. Your Llama Trek includes walking along the riverbank and in the riverbed, surrounded by native birds, and through protected native woodland.
