Over 40 NPGHS Pasifika Students Shine at Pasifika Fusion 2025 | AI meets PI, Palmerston North
On 25–26 June 2025, over 40 talented Pasifika students from New Plymouth Girls’ High School proudly represented our school at Pasifika Fusion: AI Meets PI in Palmerston North.
These incredible young women poured their hearts into every aspect of the competition — from their captivating dances and harmonious singing to their inspiring speeches, stunning artwork, cultural knowledge, and the unwavering sisterhood that binds them together. They left us all in awe.
While our Gold Medal-winning performance didn’t place this year, the video speaks for itself — their synchronicity, stage presence, and harmonic voices moved the crowd to tears and made all of their aiga and supporters immensely proud.
Our annual NPGHS Fiafia Night was also a huge success, raising nearly $7,000 to support the girls’ travels. A heartfelt thank you to our whānau, friends, and the wider community for your generosity — and a special mention to the New Plymouth Boys’ High School Pasifika students whose energy and performances took the night to the next level. Fa’afetai tele lava!
We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Lokeni whānau, our dedicated performance tutors and presenters, costume makers, stage and hall crew, kai donors and cooks, food servers, school staff, and every whānau member who stayed behind to help clean up. You all made the 2025 Fiafia Night unforgettable. Ka mau te wehi!
If you’d like to be notified when next year’s fundraising begins, leave us a message in the form in this listing — trust us, the food and performances are next-level and not to be missed!
