About

With so much on offer in and around Kawau Island, the challenge is deciding how much time to spend exploring and how much time relaxing.

Departing Auckland City (or elsewhere by arrangement) at 7am, head into the Gulf for some fishing. Cruise on to Kawau Island for a picnic lunch at the manicured grounds of Mansion House followed by a tour through the historic Mansion or walk off lunch with an easy stroll to Schoolhouse Bay via the ruins of a Copper Mine.

Meet back up with your skipper at the Schoolhouse Bay wharf, to motor around to the magnificent Vivian Bay, home to your accommodation for the evening, the luxurious ‘The Beach House’.

Time for a swim in the bay or simply relax and refresh before transferring by boat (no roads on Kawau Island!) around to ‘Kawau Boating Club’ in Bon Accord Harbour for dinner on the wharf.

The following day, enjoy a slow start with complimentary breakfast at The Beach House before returning to Auckland City around 10am. Disembark back at Westhaven Marina with amazing memories and your line-caught fish prepped and filleted!

Prices include accommodation based on twin-share (2 people per room), as well as breakfast. All other meals excluded unless by prior arrangement

• Capacity: 2 – 4 people per boat (multiple boats available if group exceeds 4pax)
• Departure Location: Z-Pier, 31 Westhaven Drive, St Mary’s Bay (unless arranged otherwise by request)
• Dining at ‘Kawau Boating Club’ is seasonal and based on availability at time of booking
• Not sure of the final number in your group at time of booking? No problem, we can add people right up to 24hrs before the charter!

What to Bring

• Sunglasses, sunscreen, a warm jacket and a hat – the weather can change quickly at sea so come prepared;
• Lunch and a drink (if you have not booked a catered Charter);
• Rod and tackle (if you have not booked rental gear or an all inclusive Charter); and
• Your sense of adventure and a smile!
