The Hobbiton Movie Set has been one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist destinations for the past ten years.

The tour begins with a pick-up service from Auckland’s central business district and includes private transportation. Visitors will take pleasure in a two-hour scenic trip into Waikato, with opportunity for photo stops along the way and other essential pauses.

Visitors are given 30 to 45 minutes after arrival to browse the authorized Hobbiton Gift Shop and enjoy a meal at the renowned Shire’s Rest Cafe.

Guests then board The Hobbiton Bus, which will take them to The Hobbit Village, and the Middle-earth adventure officially starts. An in-depth two-hour group tour of this location is given by an expert who covers The Hobbit Holes, The Mill, The Double Arched Bridge, and includes a free drink at The Green Dragon Inn.
