About
Tata Islands provide a breathtaking backdrop as you launch your kayak from the golden sands of Tata Beach, straight into the Abel Tasman National Park. Motu and Ngawhiti Islands (Tata Islands) are home to New Zealand’s largest and busiest shag colony, seals lazily watching you paddle by. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will fill you in on local tales and the history of the Abel Tasman National Park and surrounding area as well as spotting the local wildlife. As part of your tour there will be a stop on a secluded beach with a delicious morning tea, maybe a quick dip into the crystal clear water. No previous experience is required. We cater for all ages and paddling abilities in our stable double kayaks. A full pre-trip safety briefing helps make your trip fun and enjoyable. Any serious medical conditions need to be disclosed.
