For those riding from the centre of Nelson, the standard format of the Guided Orientation Ride is as follows.

  • Beginner: Recommended ride – Codgers entrance, Dun mountain trail, pipeline, jacks track, middle road to Fireball skid, Firball trig climbing track, Firball.

  • Intermediate: Recommended ride – Codgers entrance, dun mountain trail, pipeline, jacks track, middle road to Fireball skid, Turners, Takeme2YourLeader, beer bottle to picnic table, Top Dog, climb back to fireball skid, Hulknhogan, lower Firball.

  • Advanced (contact us first): Recommended ride – Codgers entrance, dun mountain trail, pipeline, jacks track, middle road to Fireball skid, Turners, Takeme2YourLeader, beer bottle to picnic table, Top Dog, climb to (if level is not sufficiently advanced then revert to Intermediate program) Hot Box, Maitai valley to Sharlands, climb to top of Loam, do Loam and ride back.

Where riders are interested in bring introduced to Silvan, Richmond, or Kaiterteri, we can discus custom programs.
