About
The Northern End of the Abel Tasman is raw, beautiful, rich in history and culture. It is one of the best kayaking destinations in New Zealand. This trip is suitable for those wanting a bit more adventure and to experience New Zealand at its natural best. Leaving the golden sands of Tata Beach, the journey towards Separation Point is remarkable. Once at the Point spend time watching the populated seal colony and then stay at one of the many Department of Conservation Campsites. For this trip Mutton Cove is recommended (Paddle time to Mutton Cove is 3-4hr). The pick up point for this trip is Totaranui.
