About
If you’re looking for that extra special fishing adventure, then Cuvier Island, the pins and reefs in the surrounding area offer exactly that with some of the very best fishing in the Hauraki Gulf.
With options to target large kingfish, reef fish (e.g. Maomao and Grandaddy Hapuka), snapper, as well as Hapuka (approx. July-Sept), a day at Cuvier can be like no other fishing experience you have had.
These charters depart Westhaven at 6am and will return around 4pm. These trips are for private groups of up to 5 people.
Note. a forecast of 10kts or less is required, otherwise the trip will be postponed to another date (decision made 24hrs prior). Also, we do not operate these charters between 1 Nov – 25 Dec.
What to Bring
• Sunglasses, sunscreen, a warm jacket and a hat – the weather can change quickly at sea so come prepared;
• Lunch and a drink (if you have not booked a catered Charter) (NO alcohol is allowed on board;
• Rod and tackle (if you have not booked rental gear or an all inclusive Charter); and
• Your sense of adventure and a smile!
