This tour provides a taste of the Coromandel, sightseeing across the entire peninsula. You will experience a drive over the rugged Coromandel ranges to the old gold-mining town of Thames with its fine old buildings from the 1800s.
The tour then follows the beautiful western Coromandel coastline through avenues of beautiful Pohutukawa trees, and you’ll enjoy a gentle walk into a wonderful stand of giant Kauri trees in a semi tropical rainforest. Travel through mountain and coastal scenery stopping at amazing photo spots before arriving at Coromandel Town.
Enjoy a delightful lunch at one of the many quaint cafes and restaurants found in the town. Continuing on over mountains and forest to the east coast, tour through rolling farmland, and around rugged coast to Mercury Bay with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and islands.
This tour is packed with amazing landscapes, and you will learn all about the Maori and European history of the Coromandel Peninsula, as well as the unique flora and fauna found in this part of New Zealand.
This tour may also be completed in reverse order, depending on the pickup location.
